On 7th February 2021, honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated oil and gas, and infrastructure projects in West Bengal. Including a 1.0 MMTPA capacity, LPG Import Terminal set up by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) at Haldia.

The project will fulfill the increasing demand in the states of West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Assam, and other areas. Energy Industries is proud to be associated with the fully automated state-of-the-art project. In collaboration with Engineers India Limited, ABB India has provided complete automation solutions that include the Distributed Control System, RVP-based blending solution, and the Terminal Automation System solution.

The Distributed Control System ensures automation, control, and monitoring of the operations. It helps create an integrated enterprise where PLCs, control systems, F&G, ESD, maintenance systems, and ERPs collaborate in one seamless environment.

The RVP-based Blending solution works based on real-time measurement of product components and provides controlled and quality blending for large components such as Butane and Propane. ABB helped the Oil and Gas companies with RVP based blending of Propane and Butane, which not only assures blending as per requirement but also the bottom line of terminal operations. This solution is at the heart of the entire supply chain.

Our Terminal Automation System is a total solution for oil, gas, and chemical companies that integrates receipt, storage, movement of products through pipelines or tankers and dispatch at the facilities. This is an advanced software optimization package for product receipts, in-line blending, storage, planning, and scheduling of distribution for multi-product/terminals. It will provide an automation and safety system to support the local operations.
