Neolone BioG Preservative by LANXESS aligns with the ‘Scopeblue’ sustainability brand, boasting over 50% sustainable raw material content. Compliant with European regulations, it offers climate-friendly, circular economy support and certified sustainable raw materials, ensuring reduced carbon footprint.

Neolone BioG Preservative performs excellently, with broad-spectrum efficiency against a wide range of bacteria, yeasts, and molds. It is quickly biodegradable and, at appropriate levels, has been shown to be non-sensitizing and non-irritating.

Neolone BioG Preservative addresses the personal care industry’s quest for eco-friendly yet potent preservatives. It leverages ethyl lauroyl arginate HCl (LAE), sourced from natural ingredients like sugar beet and non-GMO corn, suitable for leave-on and rinse-off products such as creams, masks, cleansers, hair conditioners, and wet wipes.

“Thanks to our microbiological knowhow and global network of R& D centers, we offer our customers safe, high-quality, effective and sustainable preservatives. We support our customers not only in finding the right dosages and possible preservation combinations, but also provide formulation guidance,” explains Vivien Konetzky, Global Product Manager Home & Personal Care in LANXESS’ Material Protection Products (MPP) business unit.

LANXESS introduces Neolone BioG Preservative as a new, eco-friendly solution for the ethical cosmetics industry. It adheres with rigorous environmental regulations and meets the growing customer demand for sustainability.

“We are observing a clear trend toward natural solutions. More and more customers want natural ingredients, and we’re meeting this demand. Fortunately, we have a wide range of preservatives such as Neolone BioG Preservative as well as natural extracts in the development phase in order to optimally meet the needs of the personal care industry,” defines Anneliese Bischof, head of MPP’s CARE business line.
