Southco expands its rotary latch range with new versions facilitating electronic actuation and delivering electronic door status signals. These advancements enhance security and access control in robust settings. Featuring a symmetric design for both right and left-hand positions, these products streamline integration and inventory management.

Southco’s latest R4-25 line addresses customer demands for electronic control and monitoring in challenging situations. The latch responds to signals from the customer’s control system or a Southco controller via a 12-volt actuator. The R4-25 incorporates an inbuilt sensor that signals the door’s close when the striker is detected, complementing Southco’s BluetoothTM controller for wireless capability.

The R4-25 latches boast a symmetrical design, adaptable for both right and left-hand positions, streamlining stock needs, expediting assembly, and enhancing inventory control. Moreover, the integrated cable mounting bracket removes the necessity of separately purchasing or designing a cable mounting bracket.

Cindy Bart, Southco Product Manager, adds, “These new R4-25 rotary latches expand our portfolio of mechanical and electronically actuated rotary latches. We are building on our experience in both areas to bring electronic actuation capability to new markets.”
